Founded in 2003 by 2 young and vibrant hairstylists, Benny Ooi & Desmond Cheng, their vision was simple - to create gorgeous and cutting edge hairstyle for each and every customer. Desmond left for Singapore in 2005 to pursue other endeavours and Benny decided to continue the show on his own.

Fibre Studio moved to bigger and more upmarket premises in Abu Siti Lane and began the path of expansion by providing additional services to our customers – Beauty & Body Treatment and Nail Art services.

Today, with the newly renovated haven at Abu Siti Lane, Fibre Studio provides a platform / space for hair fashion trend setting. Our studio is decorated with the comfort and enjoyment of our customers in mind.

The vision of the team at Fibre Studio remains the same today. We are devoted to create a look that suit our customers’ lifestyle. Benny and the team will continuously strive for quality and service excellence in every aspect of your visit here at Fibre Studio.

Benny Ooi

Founder and owner of Fibre Studio, Benny is a dynamic, chic and trend setting hair stylist with over 9 years of experience in this field. Benny showcased his original masterpiece “Dance of the Flaming Phoenix”, winning him the much coveted ‘Champion of the 2007 Malaysia Golden Scissor Award’.

His fabulous creation won tremendous acknowledgements from the panel of judges, namely the renowned Malaysia Hair Saloon “A Cut Above” owner – Winnie Loo, Singapore Hair Saloon “Toni & Guy” - David Mercer, Sergio Cavazzana from Italy, Zico Tsoi from Hong Kong and Hoang Hai Yan from Vietnam.

Over the years, Benny led the Fibre Studio team in creating numerous elegant and chic hair styles and images for different occasions. As Fibre Studio ventures into its 5th Anniversary, Benny’s unique and trendy creations continue to bring great surprises and extreme satisfaction to the customers of Fibre Studio.

Wendy Tan

Leading the beauty division of Fibre Studio, Wendy brings with her over 10 years of experience, including facial treatment, eyebrow embroidery, body spa, body treatment and makeup.

Her solid experience in this industry enables her to provide professional and knowledgeable analysis and consultation on your beauty needs towards a new & energized look.

Apart from beauty consultancy, Wendy also provides beauty classes & training on a part time basis at Fibre Studio.

Currently led by Benny (Professional Hair Stylist), the team consists of 9 team members of 2 senior hairstylists, 2 junior hairstylists, 1 Beauty Consultant, 2 Beauticians and 2 Nail Artists. The team has been working together for many years on numerous events and occasions and is well trained in providing excellent quality and customer service.
